FAQ 2243
How do I scan lots of separate documents from the platen glass into a single copy output?

If you load all originals into the document feeder, the Xerox will scan all of them at once and produce a copy from the results.  However, if you’re scanning odd-sized originals from the glass – e.g., parts of a book – you will need to use the Build A Job feature to stop the Xerox from producing separate copies each time you press the green button.  From the Copy screen, select the Job Assembly tab, and then Build A Job.  Once activated, this function allows you to produce multiple scans from the glass, and will save each scan in a temporary file as you go, prompting you each time for the next scan.  Once your scans are complete, it will prompt you to complete the job, and only at this point will it produce the final copy.  Note:  the Build A Job feature toggles itself off automatically once you log out.
