FAQ 570
Is there any welfare support if I am in private accommodation?

Exeter campuses

Wellbeing services can be accessed here. If you want to leave your house you will need to refer to the accommodation contract that you signed. Ideally before you sign a contract you should take it to the Students' Guild Advice Unit as part of their free, tenancy checking service. They will be able to offer you any advice about your accommodation. They can also give you lots of information on where to look and what you need to be checking when viewing possible properties.

You can contact the Students' Guild by emailing info@exeterguild.com.

If you are paying any money over to a landlord or agent before you move in you should check whether it is a returnable deposit, what it is meant to cover and also get a receipt to say when you paid the money.
