How do I register?
To complete your online registration:
- go to the Student Record System
- sign in using your student username and password
- select the ‘Register Now’ link
- go through the process
The process should take around 30 minutes to complete. You will receive an email to confirm that you have completed your registration. The MyExeter app will also update after two hours to reflect this change in status.
Please complete this process by the deadline stated on your registration reminder emails. These dates can also be found on the registration webpages.
If you have forgotten your student log in details, please call the IT helpdesk on 01392 725050. You can also follow our instructions to change your password.
International students
Before you can register you need to present your passport and immigration status (visa) to the University, regardless of your fee status.
To do this, you will need to book an appointment to attend International Student Clearance at the campus you will be attending. You cannot complete your University registration until you have completed this step.

You will receive an email you once you have booked your appointment with a list of what you need to bring on the day.
Why do I need to register?
Online registration periods for the current academic year are on the website.
You need to register to:
- confirm your intention to continue to study in the new academic year
- confirm you agree to the University's regulations
- check or change your details such as address, phone number, or accessibility support requests
Registration also helps ensure the right tuition fees are applied to you. The online registration includes a section about tuition fees. We will review your tuition fees in accordance with your mode of attendance and expected completion date. You can check this in the tuition fee invoice section. If there are any issues with the tuition fee invoice, you can send feedback to us via a button on the registration screen.
