FAQ 1072
I am experiencing personal difficulties that are making it hard to concentrate on my studies.

Unfortunately, it is possible that from time to time you may experience personal issues that make it difficult to concentrate on your studies.

Whilst you should do all you can to keep on top of your work, it might be that significant problems make this difficult.

If you are experiencing problems, you should first of all discuss the matter with your personal tutor or someone from the Geography Office.

If you have a deadline or exam pending it might be worth considering an extension or exam deferral.

If this is the case, and you have supporting evidence you can provide, you should apply for mitigation.

Please see the 'Mitigation Process for Assessed Work' section of the Student Gateway for more information.
