FAQ 1094
I am feeling ill and don't think I can sit my exam

If you become ill before an exam, or experience other personal difficulties, you should think about whether you are fit to sit your exam.

It might be that you would be better off deferring until the referred/deferred exam period in August.

Deferring an exam would mean that you get the actual mark and not a capped mark.

Please note however, that permission to defer an exam will only be considered on submission of a mitigation form with appropriate supporting evidence.

If you are in any doubt about whether or not you should sit an exam, you should discuss this IN ADVANCE with your personal tutor or someone from the Geography Office.

You can find further details about the University's policy on mitigation in the TQA manual.
