FAQ 1109
I think I need to interrupt my studies for a period of time

There are times when, due to circumstances beyond your control, it may be necessary or beneficial to interrupt your studies.

This means that you can take time away from the University then return to complete your studies.

Due to the nature of the academic year, this usual means interrupting at the start of term and returning a year later.

If you are thinking about interrupting, you should discuss the matter with your personal tutor or programme director in the first instance.

Please be aware that there may be financial implications to this decision and therefore, you should also discuss the matter with the Student Fees Office.
