Why is it important to maintain a good attendance record?
The University has a strict attendance policy. All scheduled classes are compulsory and students are expected to attend everything on their timetable.
Experience has shown us that students who attend classes achieve better results than those who do not. Therefore, failure to attend classes will trigger warning emails which can ultimately result in withdrawal from the University.
With regards to tier 4 students, it is a requirement of your visa and the UK Border Agency that you maintain an excellent attendance record.
Unauthorised absences can result in serious visa implications.
