What is the difference between referred and deferred exams?
Deferral:
A first attempt at a module assessment/examination permitted to a student prevented from previously completing it for good reason, normally medical.
Referral:
A further attempt, following initial failure, at a module assessment/examination without the requirement to repeat any attendance.
