After your assessment, the assessor will write up a comprehensive report detailing your study needs and support strategies that you have considered and agreed. The recommendations will be within the scope of your DSA for the consideration of your funding body and will be clearly justified based on your disability-related needs for the course. It will also contain advice for you and your University or College. The report will be quality assured and a copy will be sent to you approximately 10 working days following the date of your assessment. On occasion this may be longer if, for example, there is significant follow up to be done by the assessor. Please allow 10 working days before contacting us. Please read the report carefully and if you agree with the contents and the recommendations please confirm this as soon as possible by e-mail. If there are any amendments/inaccuracies please email is. Where possible these changes will be made within 3 working days. An updated report will be sent to you for you to confirm as soon as possible. Once you receive the final copy of your report please contact the Disability/Learning Support Advisor at the University/ College to discuss the recommended support. Your final report is sent to your funding body and the Disability Advisor at your University or Collage. If you do not wish for a copy to be sent to your Disability Advisor, you should indicate this, but please be aware this may result in some recommended support not being put in place. The funding body will write to you advising you of their decision. If you have not heard from them within 4-6weeks confirming your report to us you can either phone them yourself or ask us to contact them on your behalf. You should not order of purchase any equipment without the prior approval of the funding body. Exeter Access Centre is a registered centre with the Disabled Students’ Allowances Quality Assurance Group (DSA-QAG) and they only endorse suppliers of equipment operating through the DSA-QAG Service Level Agreement.
