FAQ 2069
Can I obtain a Student Oyster Card?

The University of Exeter is registered with Transport for London (TFL) for the 18+ Student Oyster photocard scheme.

If a student applies to TFL for an 18+ Student Oyster photocard the application is sent to the University, via an online process, to accept or reject.

Please note that to qualify for an 18+ Student Oyster photocard you must be living at a London address during term time. This means it is unlikely that you will qualify if you are studying at any of the University of Exeter's campuses, even if your home address is in London.

If you think you may be entitled to an 18+ Student Oyster photocard whilst you are studying here, please go to the Transport for London website, and read the full Terms and Conditions.

You may qualify if you are on an approved  work placement in London – please ensure you read the terms and conditions for "18+ Student work placement education establishments" before you apply.

For students on placements in London only: first submit your application to the TFL. Once this has been submitted, please log an enquiry below and supply your placement details. A placement letter will then be sent on your behalf to TFL.
