I want to interrupt my studies, what should I do?
If you would like to interrupt your studies, you will first need to see your tutor at your College to discuss your options. You will then either be directed to complete the form through SID Online (a video guide is accessible on this page: Changes to study | Student hubs | University of Exeter) if you are not on campus, or a College administrator can go through the form with you in person or over the phone.
- Please make sure you include your last attendance date and the date of your proposed return.
- The form is approved by the College Associate Dean for Education.
Please note that if you are an International student on a TIER4 visa, an International Student Advisor needs to sign the form and discuss with you any visa implications. Please make an appointment by logging an enquiry online with the SID Desk (click 'Log Enquiry' below).
If you are in University Accommodation your interruption request will be sent to the Accommodation team so they can discuss your departure and book you out of your accommodation.
