FAQ 2167
How do I copy at a Xerox device?

Please follow the below steps to copy at a Xerox device-all of the Xerox devices in the Student Print and Copying fleet offer copying.

  1. Swipe your Unicard to authenticate yourself.
  2. Place the document you wish to copy face up in the sheet feeder on top of the device or else face down on the glass (note position of green orientation arrow). The sheet feeder can feed multiple sheets.
  3. Select the ‘Copy’ option on the MFD touch-screen.
  4. Choose options if anything other than standard default settings are required.
  5. Press large green ‘copy’ button at bottom far right of control panel.
  6. Don’t forget to logout ( although you will be automatically logged out after 30 seconds or so)
  7. The costof your copying will be charged to your print account accordingly.

If you are copying small format documents either place a blank sheet of A4 paper behind the item you are copying or else on the device select a paper tray e.g. ‘3’ rather than ‘auto select’ in ‘paper supply’ settings.

If you are having problems visit our Printing FAQs page..

There are many options available for the formatting of your copies – most of the optional settings on the MFD control panel are self-explanatory, or you may find the answer to your query in the Student Xerox Device Guide.
