FAQ 2181
I’m a PGR and I am being asked for a 'billing code'. How do I find this code?

If you are a PGR at Exeter University it is likely that you will need to enter a ‘billing code’ when you login on a Xerox print & copy device.

You should ask your college/department for the relevant billing code for you to use. Costs of your print/copy/scan activities will be funded by your department via this billing code.

However, please note that not all colleges/departments have a policy of funding the print/copy/scan activities of their PGRs, in which case they may have already requested that your print account be of the ‘nonbillable’ variety. A ‘nonbillable’ account means that you will need to ensure you have funds in your (personal) account in order to fund your print/copy/scan activities. If you are in this category the print/copy devices will not ask you for a billing code – cost of print/copy/scan will be deducted from funds in your (nonbillable) print account.

Should your college/department decline your request to be supplied with a relevant billing code then we will need to make your account ‘nonbillable’ (and you will need to ensure you have funds in your print account): contact the IT Helpdesk if you need to be made ‘nonbillable’. Your college/department can request funds to be added to this account, as they may wish to subsidise a proportion of your print costs.
