The machine has a persistent or inaccessible paper-jam.

If the machine jams repeatedly in the same area, or has a piece of paper stuck in it that you can’t get at, please log an enquiry via SID (you can also call 4724 internally) using the "Machine Problems" category, quoting the serial number which can be found on a sticker on the machine.

This can then be escalated to the Print and Copy team who have equipment that can be used to extract inaccessible jams, as bad jams can be made worse by repeated attempts to extract paper.
