FAQ 2459
What if I don't like my Study Abroad Placement?

It is very common for Study Abroad students at some point to feel generally fed up and want to come home.

Exactly at what point this might happen during your year abroad can vary from person to person or may not happen at all.

Often this is just a case of culture shock and you will be given a presentation at Exeter during your 2nd year specifically about dealing with this. However, you should contact both your personal tutor and Humanities Study Abroad Team to let them know how you feel.

The Study Abroad Coordinator will be able to phone you and, if things are really bad, may be able to visit you to sort out any difficulties that you might be encountering.
