Can I claim for my professional membership subscription?
Claims for professional membership subscription is mentioned under ‘Other Business Expenses’ Paragraph 6.2 to 6.4 of the new expenses policy (see below)
Personal membership subscriptions to professional bodies will not be paid where membership of a professional body is a normal expectation of the individual however subscriptions that are associated with a role rather than an individual, will be paid.
Subscriptions that give access to discounted facilities, conference fees etc, authorising line managers/budget holders may permit their reimbursement on grounds of value for money.
