FAQ 2720
I can't see my laptop on the projector or wall-mounted screen

In most learning spaces there are 3 laptop video cables coming out of the lectern (labelled LAPTOP 1, LAPTOP 2 and LAPTOP 3) which are compatible with the majority of Windows laptops. Depending on the make and model, your laptop may have 1, 2 or all 3 types of connection. It doesn’t matter which one you use.

If you are using an Apple laptop, you will need to use an adaptor to connect your device to one of the laptop cables.

Once connected ensure you select the corresponding laptop number on the control panel (eg LAPTOP 1 if you are using laptop cable 1, etc).

You may also need to change the display settings on your laptop to send the image to an external display i.e. the projector or wall-mounted screen. On a Windows laptop press the windows key and P and then select 'duplicate'. On an Apple laptop, go to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement.
