FAQ 750
How can I appeal against an academic decision?

You have a right of appeal against academic decisions and recommendations made by Boards of Examiners and Faculty Boards (or Deans acting on their behalf) that affect your academic progress.

You will find full details of the Academic Appeals Procedure at:
http://www.exeter.ac.uk/students/administration/complaintsandappeals/academicappeals/

Please remember that an appeal must be submitted within 10 working days of notification of the decision you wish to appeal, and you cannot appeal against academic judgement.

We
recommend that you draft your statement of appeal and the grounds for your appeal and send it to us either by email to
studentadvice@exeter.ac.uk or via SID online and we can then advise on the clarity of your case.

If you are based at the Cornwall Campus, you can make an appointment to see an adviser by contacting the FXU Advice on 01326 370447 or emailing advice@fxu.org.uk.

If you are unhappy with a result and do not have grounds for appeal you may be able to make a complaint. For further information you need to see the Student Complaints Procedure

If you require further information or you still require an answer to your question please log an enquiry via the SID tile on iExeter or click the button below.
