FAQ 958
Why is it important to maintain a good attendance record?

The Business School has a strict attendance policy. The majority of scheduled classes are compulsory and students are expected to attend everything on their timetable, unless specifically told otherwise by the academic.

Experience has shown us that students who attend classes achieve better results than those who do not. Therefore, failure to attend classes will trigger warning emails which can ultimately result in withdrawal from the University.

With regards to tier 4 students, it is a requirement of your visa and the Home Office that you maintain an excellent attendance record. Unauthorised absences can result in serious visa implications, ultimately being reported to the Home Office, who may withdraw your visa.
