How do I register a static IP address?

If you wish to register a static IP address, please follow the below steps.

Windows

1. Go to start
2. In the 'search programs and files' box type 'cmd'
3. Click the cmd.exe icon that appears.
4. In the black window that opens, type 'ipconfig /all (please note there is a space after ipconfig) and press return on your keyboard.
5. Make a note of this information or take a screenshot of this.
6. Please make a note of the Physical address.


Once you have this information, please click log a SID enquiry.


Mac

1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu
2. Next, click on "Network" and select your currently active network connection from the left menu (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, etc.)
3. Click on "Advanced" in the lower right corner
4. Check the bottom of the window for "Wi-Fi address"-the hexidecimal (16 symbols) characters next to this are the machine's MAC address.

Once you have this information, please log a SID enquiry.
