BART will not accept my assignment. Shows message ERROR: file not accepted: '/tmp/phpru1zbe', number of pages = '0'
The vast majority of failed uploads are due to the pdf being incorrectly generated.
Please regenerate the pdf by following the instructions in the Online Submission Student Guidelines Handbook that can be downloaded from http://as.exeter.ac.uk/it/systems/bart/
Also avoid saving the pdf in Adobe Reader. This will covert the pdf into an incompatible type.
Google Docs
If you have written your assignment in Google Docs, please use the following instructions
1. Download your work as a docx from Google Docs.
2. Open up in Word and save as a pdf from there.
3. Use the pdf generated from Word to upload to Bart.
LaTeX
If you have written your assignment in LaTeX, please use the following instructions
1. Open your .tex file in your preferred editor.
2. Ensure the command \pdfoptionpdfminorversion=4 is added to the preamble.
3. Use the pdf generated to upload to BART.
