FAQ 603
How do I get involved in sport while at University?

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in sport whether you are a student based at one of our Exeter campuses or at our Cornwall campus.

Students can get involved in sport by joining one or more of the 49 sports clubs within the Athletic Union.

Sports clubs range from Athletics through to windsurfing and wakeboarding.

If you don't want to compete seriously for the University in the BUCS competition then we have many
intramural sport activities available where you can get your own team together and play at a more fun and social level.

Sport activities take place across our two main sites, The Sports Park on the Streatham Campus and St Luke's Sports Centre on the St. Luke’s Campus.

We also have other facilities including grass sports pitches at
Duckes Meadow by the picturesque Quay and high quality grass pitches including 2 cricket grounds at our Topsham site.

For more information, please see the Athletic Union website or log an enquiry online with the Student Information Desk (via the Help and Support tab at MyExeter).

The Sports Centre on the Cornwall Campus provides opportunities for students of all levels and ability to participate in sport and physical activity.

Facilities include a fitness suite and exercise studio as well as a
Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).

There are also a whole variety of
sports clubs ranging from hockey to ultimate frisbee that students can join.

For more information, please see the Penryn Campus Fitness Centre website or speak to a member of the Sports Centre staff on 01326 370770 or email fitnesscentre@fxplus.ac.uk
