FAQ 177
I want a letter to show that I am a registered student of the University.

A student status letter will show that you are a registered student of the University. Your programme of study and your start and expected completion dates are all displayed on the letter.

You can download and print a student status letter from the self-service letters section of your student record, these are digitally signed and stamped.

During Fresher's Week, you can visit one of our letter printing stations, or the SID desk any time of the year during opening hours.

Note that we cannot generate a student status letter for you until you have completed online registration - this may be after you have arrived at Exeter. (Particularly in the case of international students who need to complete document clearance before they can register)

If you are based at the Exeter campuses, you can also request a student status letter by logging an enquiry by clicking on the 'Log Enquiry' button below. On receipt of the request we will create the letter. Please advise us in the enquiry if you would like to collect the original copy, and from which campus you would like to collect the original from. You can also attend the SID desk in the Forum before logging an enquiry and we can print this for you.

If you are based at the Cornwall Campus, please contact Registry Services Cornwall on 01326 371800 or email cc-registry@exeter.ac.uk to request a student status letter. You can collect your letter from Registry Services in the Peter Lanyon Building.

If you are not based on either campus and you need the letter to be sent to your home address or emailed as a pdf file please indicate this in the request.
