How do I scan-to-email?

All of the Xerox devices in the Student Print and Copy fleet offer scanning-to-email. 


To scan-to-email, please see the following steps: 

  1. Swipe you Unicard to authenticate yourself on the device.
  2. Select 'Email' icon on the device screen.
  3. Place the document to scan in the device, either face-down on the glass (note green orientation arrow) or face-up in the document feeder on top of the device if loose pages.
  4. Press the large green ‘copy’ button at far right of control panel.

Your document will then be scanned and you will receive a PDF version of it in your University email inbox.

If you are scanning in more than one item then you will need to use the ‘Job Build’ function. Instructions for Job Build can be found on the 'How to use this device' instructions on the print devices themselves.

Please note that you do not need to use ‘Job Build’ if you are scanning in loose leaf sheets via the sheet feeder on top of the device.

Scanning is charged at 1p per page regardless of page size.
