My performance has been affected as a result of my disability and I need to apply for mitigation, what do I do?

 

Mitigation | Student hubs | University of Exeter Our helpful and experienced Education Welfare Teamare available to talk to you in a confidential and non-judgemental way about anything you may need support with. The Team are based at Hub/Info Points and can offer telephone and online video appointments. 


Please note that: 

  • For general queries relating to your academic study you should get in touch with your personal tutor, then your Hub/Info Point team (or Doctoral College PGR Support Team for PGR students). 

  • If you have a health condition, mental health condition, or disability we suggest that you also contact AccessAbility and/or the Mental Health teamin order to discuss support options, such as teaching and exam adjustments. 


 

If you need to apply for mitigation you will need to contact your College or Student Office who will offer you advice and support regarding the application procedure. 

 

If you are applying for mitigation for for an assessment, you should discuss this first with your College or Student Office who should be able to offer advice and support with regard to the application procedure. Please also see the University’s guidelines on mitigation. 


It is important to know that the responsibility for decisions around academic progress lies with the college or department concerned.
