I can't hear the audio from my laptop

Please ensure the audio cable is plugged into the headphone socket on your laptop. In most learning spaces there are 3 laptop video cables and each will have its own audio cable, so please ensure you select the right one. 


If this does not work, please follow these steps:

1. Firstly, check the volume is turned up on the programme (e.g. Windows Media Player) or website (e.g. youtube video) you are using 

2. Check the master volume on the PC (click the speaker icon in the taskbar in the bottom-right of the screen and ensure this is not muted or turned down)

3. Check the master volume on the control panel. In rooms with push-button control panels, this will be a knob. In rooms with a touchscreen control panel, press the audio icon and then press + to increase the volume.
4. Finally, in some rooms it is possible to turn off the power to the room speakers. If you aren't sure if the speakers are turned on or if none of the above works, please call x2230 or press the Room Help button on the support phone to ask a Technician to help
